Joanna Wojtkiewicz is a Polish jazz vocalist, lyricist and arranger based in Copenhagen.

Her work is rooted in vocal jazz and the tradition of the Great American Songbook, approached through a contemporary and intimate perspective. Focusing on interpretation, text and musical dialogue, she develops a personal artistic language where voice, storytelling and improvisation come together.

Born in Bartoszyce, Poland, Joanna began her musical education at the age of 7. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Composition and Music Theory from the Academy of Music in Poznań and is currently completing her studies in rhythmic vocal performance at Syddansk Musikkonservatorium in Odense. Her artistic path moves between Poland and Denmark, shaped by both traditions and an ongoing interest in collaboration within the European jazz scene.

In March 2024, she released her debut EP Komeda – Romanse" in collaboration with pianist Mateusz Kaszuba, reinterpreting the music of Krzysztof Komeda in an intimate voice-and-piano setting.

Together with her quartet, she was awarded the Grand Prix at the Ladies’ Jazz Festival 2024. Alongside her work as a performer, she develops her practice as a lyricist, writing both for her own projects and in collaboration with other artists.

Her debut album, to be released in fall 2026, marks a new chapter in her artistic development, bringing together her approach to vocal jazz, lyrics and ensemble work.
